Working Principle

ZH Centrifugal Air Compressor uses Centrifugal force to generate flow and pressure. Centrifugal technology is a highly efficient method for producing compressed air.



What are the differences between single-stage and two-stage compressors?

The term "stage" refers to the number of compression stages that air undergoes to achieve the required pressure. The high-speed rotating impeller forms dynamic pressure accumulation in the compressor. The number and stages of the impellers will depend on the required outlet pressure.


For applications requiring 2 bar(g) or less pressure, a single impeller or a single-stage compressor is sufficient to meet the pressure requirements. Higher pressure can be achieved by using two-stage or three-stage compressors.


What makes our ZH Centrifugal Air Compressor unique?

By designing our ZHL, we aim to offer more energy-efficient solutions for applications that require a flow rate of 7000 m ³ /h or higher and a pressure not exceeding 2 bar(g)/29 psig. In addition, our ZH Centrifugal Air Compressor has passed the Class 0 zero-level oil-free certification. This ensures the supply of oil-free and high-quality air for your process flow.

The outstanding double-seal design ensures the production of high-quality air for you. Thanks to the oil seal and air seal, lubricating oil will not enter the impeller, thus ensuring the supply of oil-free air that meets Class 0 certification.

Ensuring that your compressed air unit is as energy-efficient as possible is an effective way to make your production process more sustainable.

ZH Centrifugal Air Compressor adopts our proprietary backward-curved impeller design, which enables every model with different power and pressure to perform exceptionally well. Different types of impellers enable you to select centrifugal compressors of appropriate specifications for a wide range of applications. With our wide range of impeller types, no matter how complex and changeable the working environment is, we can optimize the performance of the compressor according to your specific needs.

Our ZHL centrifugal compressors are driven by different high-efficiency motors. The low-voltage model (not exceeding 560kW) is equipped with a built-in star/delta starter. Offer different motor options, including air-cooled and water-cooled types.

Imported guide vanes can efficiently adjust the flow rate, thus easily responding to changing air demands. Compared with using imported valves, adjustable imported guide vanes can save up to 9% of energy. The imported guide vanes are controlled by actuators based on servo motors, which can economically and reliably control the flow rate throughout the entire regulation range of the compressor to meet different air requirements.

Our after-cooler combines compactness, low approach temperature and very small pressure drop, which can maximize overall energy efficiency as much as possible.



The production process for achieving carbon neutrality

In addition to the energy-saving core design, our ZH Centrifugal Air Compressor can also be combined with energy recovery devices and central and/or machine control devices to further reduce the carbon footprint in the production process:

● A running compressor inevitably generates heat. Installing an energy recovery device can help you recover up to 94% of the compression heat. If energy recovery is not carried out, this thermal energy will be lost into the atmosphere through the cooling system and radiation. Our energy recovery device uses compressed heat to heat water. Hot water can be used for sanitary purposes, heating, and can also be reused in other parts of your production process.

● The standard regulation optimization algorithm of our Elektronikon® unit controller can effectively expand the regulation range of the machine as much as possible. This can limit exhaust and improve energy efficiency under all working conditions.

● The ZHL compressor can be conveniently used in conjunction with our Optimizer 4.0 central controller. The central controller ensures the correct distribution of workloads across multiple compressors, thereby achieving less wear, more control options and lower energy consumption.
